50 things to be grateful for

“A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.”

Appreciate all the things that you have in your life. The big things and then all the little things too. Write them down and read them when you’re not feeling your best.

Stuck for where to begin? Heres 50 things to get you started:

  1. Your home and all thats inside it.
  2. Your loved ones. Friends, family, etc.
  3. The clothes you wear.
  4. The ability to be yourself
  5. Your health and wellbeing.
  6. That you are here and that you are here as YOU.
  7. Sunrises and sunsets every single day.
  8. Access to clean water.
  9. Access to healthy fresh nourishing food.
  10. Education and learning.
  11. The ability to learn more about any given topic.
  12. You have a device that you are reading this on.
  13. The NHS and your easy access to treatment and health care.
  14. The fresh flowers in your garden
  15. The nature and wildlife that surrounds you everyday.
  16. We get 4 beautiful seasons each year to look forward to.
  17. To live in a stable country that has stable weather and is peaceful.
  18. That you have someone to love and trust.
  19. Your pets and how they make you happy.
  20. The little things you do each day that bring you joy.
  21. Access to warm clothing in the winter and cool clothing in the summer.
  22. Your ability to write down your ideas and that you can read them afterwards.
  23. That you can hear everyday noises as well as music, etc.
  24. The connections you can make with other people easily – to ask for help, to chat, to teach, to learn, etc.
  25. Your income and the money you spend.
  26. Access to a vast library of books – old and new.
  27. The incredible people that lived before us and continue to inspire us.
  28. Your warm bed that you sleep in each night and wake up in each morning.
  29. All the memories you have to look back on.
  30. Your happy childhood and upbringing.
  31. The ability to chill out – have a pyjama day, a Netflix marathon, a hot bath, etc.
  32. Access to your own bedroom, your own bed, your own blankets, your own clothes, etc.
  33. The ability to hear other peoples stories and to share your own.
  34. To be able to go for walks and be out with nature.
  35. Beautiful views and scenery. Local beaches, walking paths, fields, etc.
  36. Your luxury items: mobile phone, iPads, TV’s, Netflix subscriptions, jewellery, etc.
  37. To be able to travel and see more of the world.
  38. Items of comfort and moments of calm: blankets, bath salts, cosy socks, candles, aromatherapy, yoga, etc
  39. To live in a world where there are so many inspiring humans to look up to.
  40. Those people in your life who support you.
  41. Warm showers and warm towels.
  42. That each day you can have a fresh start.
  43. Your weekends/days off when you can do anything you choose.
  44. To be able to contact loved ones anywhere in the world.
  45. The moon, the stars, the clouds, the sky, the rain, the sun, the universe.
  46. The opportunities you’ve been given in the past and the ones yet to come.
  47. Our emergency services and all the helplines that are available to all.
  48. To be able to capture our memories on camera or videos.
  49. Freedom of speech.
